Environmental Event for World Turtle Day

On May 23, a family-friendly environmental event was held at Bıdı Bıdı Beach, organized by volunteers dedicated to protecting loggerhead sea turtles (*Caretta caretta*) and sea daffodils, in cooperation with the Gazipaşa expatriate community. More than 35 people took part in the event. The day before, the first *Caretta caretta* nest of the season had been discovered on the same beach. The event featured educational workshops and fundraising activities, raising 11,650 Turkish lira to purchase protective cages for sea turtle nests.
